Terms of Service

Effective 2 September 2026 · intesta.io, its API and MCP endpoint

1. The service

Intesta (the "Service") is a public registry of business fact passports operated by DC ESCRYPT SL, Calle Torre Bermeja 2, Urb. Marbella Views, Villa 8, 29679 Benahavís (Málaga), Spain, VAT ES B55413975 ("we"). Entity owners register an entity, prove control of its domain and publish facts. Readers — people and AI agents — query those facts through the website, the API and the MCP endpoint. By using the Service you accept these terms.

2. Trust levels mean exactly what they say

Every entity carries a trust level (A0–A4) and every fact carries an attestation status. The level describes what has been verified — for example, A1 means the owner proved control of the domain; A2 means a real card payment by a verified payer was additionally completed. A trust level is not a guarantee that a fact is true. Unless a fact is marked as independently verified, it is the entity owner's own statement, published under the owner's responsibility. The machine-readable meaning of each level is published at /api/v1/trust-ladder and is part of these terms.

3. Entity owners

  1. You may only register a domain you control, and you may only publish facts about the organisation behind that domain.
  2. You are responsible for the accuracy of every fact you publish and for keeping it current. Facts must not be misleading, unlawful, infringe third-party rights, or contain personal data of other people.
  3. You can revoke your facts at any time. Revocation is recorded; the registry keeps an append-only history of what was published and when, so that its past statements remain auditable.
  4. Sign-in is by one-time email code. Keep control of that mailbox; actions taken through it are attributed to you.

4. Moderation

We may unpublish an entity or revoke a fact when it breaches these terms, appears fraudulent, or when required by law. Moderation decisions are recorded in the ledger with a reason. Verification of a domain does not override a moderation decision.

5. Paid verification levels

Some trust levels (A2 and above) may require a fee, shown before you pay. Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not store card details. The fee pays for the verification step itself, not for a particular outcome, and does not raise the level above what was actually verified. Statutory consumer rights, where they apply, are not affected.

6. Readers, API and MCP

  1. Public passports may be read, quoted and used by people and software, including AI agents, in accordance with the published agent guide.
  2. Answers to the ask endpoint are built only from the entity's passport. A refusal means the passport has no matching fact — it is not an error and not a statement that the fact is false.
  3. Responses carry a passport version identifier and a cryptographic signature; you are encouraged to verify them. Signed responses are the registry's statements; a signature is not the entity owner's signature.
  4. Do not overload the Service. We apply rate limits and may restrict access that harms availability for others.

7. What we do not promise

The Service is provided "as is". We do not warrant that any published fact is true beyond its attestation status, that the Service is uninterrupted, or that a passport is complete. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; the effective date above tells you which version applies. Material changes will be announced on the site. You may stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time; published facts remain in the ledger's history as described in section 3.

9. Law and contact

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes are subject to the courts of Málaga, Spain, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. Contact: hello@intesta.io.
